Get to know Neurologist Dr. Maher Loutfi, who serves the Washington DC area at his private practice, Northern Virginia Neurology.

Dr. Loutfi earned his medical degree from the University of Damascus, in Syria, in 2000 and continued his studies with an internship in internal medicine from the University of South Alabama, a residency in neurology at the University of South Alabama Medical Center, and a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology, with Vanderbilt University. Dr. Loutfi specializes in the understanding and treatment of epilepsy, a speciality he studied extensively at Vanderbilt University.
